EPWP/Unemployed Database

Applying Through the Cape Agulhas Municipality

1. Register on the EPWP/Unemployed Database

Cape Agulhas provides an “EPWP Unemployed Database Form” and a “Project Application Form”—available for download from their official “EPWP opportunities” section.

There, you can find and download:

  • EPWP Unemployed Database Form
  • EPWP Project Application Form
  • Various current EPWP adverts (e.g., Admin Data Capturer, General Workers, Seasonal Workers, etc.)

2. Obtain and Complete the Relevant Forms

Depending on the opportunity you’re interested in—such as general worker roles, data capturer, or administrative support—download and complete the applicable form.

3. Prepare Required Documents

Commonly requested documents include:

  • A certified copy of your ID.
  • Proof of banking details (e.g., bank statement or letter).
  • Proof of residence.
  • A curriculum vitae (CV)—especially for roles such as data capturers or administrative tasks.
  • Certified copies of qualifications, if relevant.

4. Submit Your Application

For example, the process is:

  1. Complete the EPWP application form (available at municipal offices or the Old Nedbank Building in Bredasdorp).
  2. Attach certified copies of your ID and banking details.
  3. Submit by hand or email to your nearest municipal office or at the Old Nedbank Building.

5. Getting Job

  • Stay on the database (update your details if you change phone number, address, or bank).
  • Keep an eye on the municipality’s EPWP Opportunities page—sometimes they advertise even general worker roles and you still need to submit a form for that particular project or to apply for the job.
  • Respond quickly if you’re contacted—often, if you don’t answer, they move to the next person.
