In the long term, in order to address the ongoing sewage overflows at this pumpstation
the Cape Agulhas Municipality has plans of upgrading this pump station in two phases;
1. Phase 1
a. Construction of an overflow tank with sufficient volume to provide 4 hours
storage of the average daily sewage flows, as described above,
